I am convinced I have been brainwashed by subliminal messages.

We went to see Lightyear with my bf, and there was like a ton of ads like usual, including trailer for the new Minions movie. I always hated Minions, both me and my bf did, actually. So we were like "geez, this shit again." But then one Minion turned into chicken. Funniest shit I've ever seen. This was the point where I was like "wow this is cute", because I love chickens. And I kept joking with my bf that I would get a plush of that. And then we got this idea we should watch the Minion movies to torture ourselves. But the thing is, we liked them, and it seriously damaged us both. So I am like "why do I suddenly think they're okay?" I always despised them. Why, after watching the trailer in the cinema, do I suddenly feel affection towards them.

I have a few theories. 1) Subliminal messages. 2) Humanity is a hivemind. 3) The Lightyear movie was so boring that the only thing I got from it is the revelation I want to fuck minions.
